Il me manque toujours.“Tu me manques.” The language doesn’t allow for it to be conjugated it in the active voice. It’s “I miss you” but a literal translation to English is ”You are missed by me” or even more poetically “You are missing from me.”

I’m going to whine a bit more about this poison ivy. It’s more painful than when I got a sunburn on top of an allergic reaction to military issue sunblock (funny, I know eh)
Going to bed, then up early to clean all day and hopefully hit the print shop, and post office now that the strike is no longer running.
Goodnight!
SO ITCHY. No idea how I’m going to sit through 5 hours of class and 3+ hours of commuting. Screw poison ivy.
If you think your electricity bill is a joke, get a load of this. The United States spends more than $20 billion per year on air conditioning for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. As NPR reports, that’s more than the entire operating budget for NASA.
This infuriating post has only 19 likes/reblogs. It’s was posted at lunch time est, Monday June 27th. Compare to Lady GaGa’s new tumblr, which has 5 posts in less than a day. Only five posts, and they’re all stupidapocalypse. How many likes/reblogs do these posts have? 12,000. Five posts, one day,
TWELVE THOUSANDlikes/reblogs!
Update: SIXTEEN THOUSAND.Once more with feeling: The U.S. spends $20.2 billion annually on air conditioning in Afghanistan and Iraq. The end.
Today, as a reward for good efforts in fundraising (see: here and here) a group of the cadets went rock climbing! I could have climbed, but my hands have been especially painful lately so I didn’t feel up to it. Instead, I shot! The lighting conditions were tricky, but I think I got a few decent shots. Over the next couple of days I will post some. At the end of the rock climbing day, one of the parents came over and thanked us (the staff) for our hard work, which was really great to hear since most people don’t realise just how much we do for the cadets.
For now though, I’m going to go to bed, as tomorrow will be a very long day and it’s already quite late. Lots on my mind, but that never changes.
Good night!

I have serious issues with the current electoral system, but it’s possible to get better results if we at least change the political culture and attitudes in our society - without full on electoral reform. If people could see how important being active is politically…
11$ Charge for what? Me printing my own tickets?
Ever get the sudden urge to hop in the car and just drive? To hop on your bike and ride down the road to forever? To walk to where the world ends? Ever have that alluring little thought that tells you to just get away from it all and maybe never come back? It’s interesting isn’t it? How every now and then it just hits you. Anywhere would be better than here.
